Billy Raducanu: East Fife refuse to comment on striker’s future

East Fife will not make any decisions on the future of Billy Raducanu until next week.

The Republic of Ireland striker has been linked with a move to Stevenage.

“He’s said he wants to give the rest of the season a go and if he does that then we’ll sit down to discuss things,” said manager Garry Brown.

“Because he’s not settled up here we need to get to a solution that suits both parties.”

East Fife have not conceded a goal in their last two Scottish Championship matches and could climb into the play-off places if they beat Alloa on Sunday.

And Brown is expecting another intense encounter against the Honest Men.

“It’s going to be a challenge – we are playing at home again on a decent pitch in a packed arena and really on top of Alloa,” he told BBC Scotland.

“We’re the team above them so if we win that, we will be in the play-offs.

“I have a lot of respect for Alloa – they are a lot of fun to watch, they play good football and are going for promotion.

“If we can keep a clean sheet and keep going forward then we are as good as anyone.

“We’ve defended superbly this season and I can’t emphasise enough the importance of the back four.”
